Angola Health System Performance Strengthening Project opera em Angola.
Considering the priorities of the Angolan Ministry of Health, the Health System Performance Strengthening Project Program (PFSS) aims to increase the use and improve the quality of health services in target provinces and municipalities, focusing on women of reproductive age and children up to five years. Divided into four main components, namely: Component 1 - Improvement of the Quality of Health Services in Target Provinces; Component 2 - Strengthening the Management of the National Health System to Support the Provision of Quality Health Services; Component 3 - Support for Public Health Response and Prevention Capacity and; Component 4 - Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation.

The PFSS Program, part of the following projects, PFSS-FBR, GAVI, REDISSE, implemented in 10 provinces, in a total of 34 municipalities, Bengo (Dande, Ambriz), Benguela (Benguela, Cubal, Lobito), Cabinda (Cabinda) Cuando Cubango ( Menongue, Cuito- Cuanavale, Mavinga), Cuanza Sul (Conda, Sumbe), Luanda (Belas, Cacuaco, Cazenga, Kilamba-Kiaxe, Viana, Icolo and Bengo, Maianga, Sambizanga), Lunda-Norte ( Dundo, Cuango, Cambulo, Lucapa), Malange ( Malanje, Cacuso, Calandula, Mucari), Moxico ( Camaguenon , Luena, Luau) and Uíge( Uíge, Negage, Sanza-Pombo, Maquela do Zombo), covering an estimated population of 4.7 million inhabitants. The purpose is to contribute to better coverage of services and to better results in the field of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, infant and adolescent health.

PFSS-FBR Objective: Increase the use and improve the quality of health services in the target provinces and municipalities.

GAVI- Objective: To provide a focused approach to child health services in an integrated manner throughout the health system.

RESAID- Objective: Strengthen national and regional intersectoral capacities for disease surveillance and epidemic preparedness in the ECAEAC region; provide a rapid and effective response to crises or emergencies.
